Returning to the Light: An Update from the Battlefield

Date: May 30, 2026

I know it’s been a while—honestly, it’s been over a year. I don’t even know how that happened, to be completely transparent. I got stuck in the “matrix” trying to make money and navigating all the standard day-to-day stuff. When I say the matrix, I’m talking about this oppressive economic system controlled by an elite few that seeks to pretty much enslave and indenture us. It’s so easy to get pulled into that trap and lose track of time.

But as you know, things have taken a pretty dark turn in the world recently, just like I alluded to in my last email. It’s heavy out there right now. But here is the thing: we do not need to give in to despair. Deep down, our higher selves knew this time would come. We were put here at this exact moment for a reason. If you are feeling down, hopeless, or depressed, I want to remind you—this is your time. This is our collective challenge, and it is why we are here. We need to rise to it.

Getting Caught in the Drama

I’ll be honest with you—I’ve been dealing with this heavily myself. When things started getting darker and making all of our lives harder, my initial instinct was to react and fight. I got heavily into political commentary, venting my frustration, and matching that negative energy.

At first, it felt good to vent. But after a while, I realized it was pulling me down a dark path filled with fear, anger, and resentment. It was making me feel powerless. So much of the news and media cycle out there is designed to keep us in a constant state of fear, because fear strips us of our natural spiritual power.

So, I turned it all off. I went back to my spiritual closet, got clear, and chose to focus on the positive.

Becoming a Peaceful Warrior

This doesn’t mean putting our heads in the sand or ignoring people who are hurting. It means becoming what I call a Peaceful Warrior.

The idea is simple: you take the peace, joy, abundance, and connection that you find in your spiritual practice, rest in that energy, and then go out and do your work in the world. I think that is what Jesus meant when he said to be “in the world, but not of it.” You remain anchored in a higher spiritual dimension, and you guard your energy fiercely, no matter how bad the storm gets.

Focusing on Solutions

When I stopped complaining, I realized something vital: we have to focus on solutions. For example, recently I was in a grocery store thinking about how massive corporations squeeze everyday people with high prices and low-quality food. I could complain about it all day, or I could look for a solution. So, I started a project called Ayani: By the People, For the People, focused on creating independent, community-driven cooperative alternatives. (If you’re interested in learning more about this project as it grows, just reply to this email!)

Of course, we have to be realistic. When you build alternatives—like people doing tiny houses or van life to escape the mortgage trap—the system often tries to crack down and regulate it. It’s important to be prepared for those hurdles. So, while we focus heavily on our solutions and work together, we must keep our eyes open so we are never caught off guard.

The Three Phases of Dream Power

As a reminder, this is the framework we use to navigate this journey:

Phase 1: Awakening – A turning point where you realize there is more to life than just going through the motions. (This happened to me back in 1999 and is how Dream Power was born).

Phase 2: Discovery – Finding your Purpose (the problem in the world you care about) and your Passion (what you love to do), and then doing your purpose passionately.

Phase 3: Living It – Taking that purpose into the world. This is usually where the true challenge begins because you slam right into the economic and social walls of the Matrix.

If you are currently feeling that deep “angst”—that inner knowing that something is wrong and needs to change, but you don’t know how to fix it—you are not alone. This is exactly what Dream Power is here to help with.

Do What You Can, With What You Have

I want to motivate you to do the work you feel called to do right now, in the midst of this storm. Don’t let the noise paralyze you with despair or distract you with endless busyness.

Do what you can, with what you have, where you are today.

You might feel like you don’t have enough time, money, or skills. But just take the first step. You have an entire spiritual team behind you.

I’ve switched newsletter services and I’m back with some awesome tools to help spread the light. I’ll be sharing deep-dives, essays, and stories on the blog rather than cluttering your inbox.

  • Check out the deeper writings: Explore mydreampower.com and check out our social media and YouTube channels.

A Note on the Battle

Before I sign off, I want to be completely clear about what I mean when I use words like “warriors” and “battlefield.” I am not advocating for physical fighting, anger, or violence. Operating from those dark places is exactly what the system wants, because it pulls us down to their frequency and strips us of our true power.

our battle is a very real spiritual and vibrational war. While the dark forces use weapons of fear, division, and control, we fight using the ultimate tools of light: peace, truth, unity, creativity, and unconditional love. We don’t win by destroying what is; we win by shining our light so brightly and building solutions so strong that the darkness simply loses its hold over us.

So keep moving forward. You are not alone!

See you on the battlefield,

Until next time – Dream on!
